JWC's first hour on earth
Hi There folks. I have been taking notes from the Blog guru - Mr. Billy NoShoes. Once again he has pointed me to another way for you folks around the world to see how I am doing, or rather how I was doing. The following clip goes way back in my history, a full 16 days ago. I had recently arrived into this world and my dear old dad snapped a short video. I don't say much but you can admire how handsome I was even at such a young age. As always, thanks for stopping by and be assured there will be more coming.

Where is Daddy?

Ok Im trying something new today. This one is for all the grandparents and other relatives that want to make sure I can fuss and get my point across. Here is a clip of me asking dear old dad to get a pesky bubble from my belly. Its nothing fancy - its just real life.
(Thanks to Mr Billy for steering me to ODEO for my mp3 post - check out the link to his post over there on the right!)

Checkup
Today I had my one week checkup at the doctors office. Everything was A-OK. My little bit of jaundice is clearing up, my belly button will soon be rid of that gross thing attached to it and I even managed to gain a little bit of weight - thanks to mom.

I like riding in my car seat. It is real comfy. My Aunt Sarah made lots of blankets for me. Mom and dad decided to use some of these blankets rolled up to support my wobbly little head as we drive around. Sometimes mom and dad put me in the car seat to sleep even when we are at home- I like the variety. Maybe they are teaching me to be able to sleep "anywhere".

Its MONDAY!
Today was not just a typical Monday. It was my first Monday ever. It was not so bad. I hope that continues into the future. I have already heard rumors about what Mondays are suppose to be like but things around the house carried on as normal. I ate, slept, got changed, ate, slept, slept, and then ate again.
......So far so good.....
Special time with mom
These are my baby glamour shots. I figured five days was long enough to wait so I scheduled an appointment. My dad said they did not have them over here and that he would have to take them.

My First Goodbye
Hello family, friends and all concerned. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your time and desire to visit my newly created blog. I have been working hard on my posts, selecting just the right photos to convey my deepest thoughts and feelings. It has been tough squeezing in some keyboard time in between eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, and eating. Please come back soon to check for updates. By the way, don’t forget to leave a comment or two telling me how much you like my blog.
Yours truly,
JoshuaWilliamConklin

Heres a little sequence I really like... It shows me and my hands
and what I like to do with them--when I am able to find them

This next section is dedicated to my favorite adopted "auntie", Christine. I heard through the grapevine that she came over to help my mommy and daddy do some work and prepare for my arrival. That just makes me feel important :) She got to see me right after I came into the world and hold me and tell me how cute I was (of course... what else would she say after all?). Sadly for me, she had to go back to see her own mommy and daddy. I will miss her, and I know my mommy and daddy will too. They tell me that we will be able to visit again when we travel back to Florida - wherever that is. I don't like saying goodbye so how about 'see ya later'.

What a great mommy I have. She is so snuggly
This was a long post. I think I need a nap. Check ya later.

I seem to be settling into a routine...

Well up until this point, I have been pretty nice to my mommy and daddy. I have decided that I enjoy sleeping when it is dark outside. In fact, I think that my parents are able to get some sleep too. I like sleeping. I have been sleeping from 11pm until around 4. My hunger pangs wake me up and so of course I wake mom and dad up. How did they read my mind?? They are pretty smart. I got some food and then went back to sleep for another 3 hours. When I got up the second time I think I saw my daddy laying there in bed still so I politely asked him to help me get one of those silly bubbles out of my belly, It did not take long, my dad is pretty good! Pretty soon I will have them completely trained...and then I will throw them a curveball or two.
